As a key member of the FCC Construction team, you will be responsible for preparing estimates for various commercial and industrial construction projects. Your expertise will be utilized to engage in various responsibilities from budget analysis, issuing subcontracts, scope reviews, requisitions, change management, and ongoing communication to complete projects.
Key responsibilities include scheduling drawing submittals, hardware and delivery of material to jobsites as well as submitting monthly progress claims and approving invoices. You will consistently meet client requirements for safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
You will recognize key issues and act in a timely manner to expedite solutions both internally and externally. Additionally, you will interpret construction drawings and specifications to understand Project requirements and interface with Clients.
Accurate preparation of material take-offs, estimates, bid letters, and schedules in a timely manner is essential. You will utilize estimating software and expand software capabilities. Soliciting subcontractor and supplier quotations and preparing construction schedules are also key responsibilities.
", "Technical Requirements": "Electrical engineering/technology background required (Degree or diploma from an accredited institution). Exposure to working in general contracting or the construction management sector is considered a definite asset. Industrial experience would be considered an asset.
Proficient experience with Microsoft Project, Project cost control software, and project management software is required.
