As a key member of our team at FCC Construction, you will be responsible for preparing estimates for various commercial & industrial construction projects. Your expertise will be utilized in various aspects of project management, including budget analysis, issuing subcontracts, scope reviews, requisitions, change management, and ongoing communication to ensure project completion.

Additionally, you will be responsible for scheduling drawing submittals, hardware and delivery of material to jobsites, as well as submitting monthly progress claims and approving invoices. Your exceptional time management and organizational skills will be essential in consistently meeting client requirements for safety, quality, schedule, and cost.

You will also be responsible for recognizing key issues and acting in a timely manner to expedite solutions both internally and externally. Your ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications will be crucial in understanding project requirements and interfacing with clients.

Other key responsibilities include accurately preparing material take-offs, estimates, bid letters, and schedules in a timely manner, utilizing estimating software and expanding software capabilities, soliciting subcontractor and supplier quotations, and preparing construction schedules.

To be successful in this role, you will require an electrical engineering/technology background, with a degree or diploma from an accredited institution. Experience working in general contracting or the construction management sector is considered a definite asset, as is industrial experience.

You will also require proficient experience with Microsoft Project, project cost control software, and project management software.
