Job Summary:

FCC Construction is seeking an Electrical Estimator/Project Coordinator to join our team

As an Electrical Estimator/Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for preparing estimates for various commercial & industrial construction projects. This will involve engaging in various responsibilities from budget analysis, issuing subcontracts, scope reviews, requisitions, change management and ongoing communication to complete projects.

Scheduling drawing submittals, hardware and delivery of material to jobsites as well as submitting monthly progress claims and approving invoices will also be part of your duties. Consistently meeting client requirements for safety, quality, schedule, and cost is essential.

You will recognize key issues and act in a timely manner to expedite solutions both internally and externally. Interpreting construction drawings and specifications to understand Project requirements and interfacing with Clients is also a key responsibility.

You will accurately prepare material take-offs, estimates, bid letters, and schedules in a timely manner. Utilizing estimating software and expanding software capabilities will also be required.

Soliciting subcontractor and supplier quotations and preparing construction schedules will also be part of your duties.

Requirements:

Technical Requirements: An electrical engineering/technology background is required. Exposure to working in general contracting or the construction management sector is considered an asset. Industrial experience would be considered an asset.

Proficient Experience: Proficient experience with Microsoft Project, Project cost control software and project management software is required.

Business Requirements: Exceptional time management and organizational skills are required. A desire to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and customer-focused environment is also essential.

Cultural Requirements: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with individuals of various disciplines are required. A team player with the desire to work collaboratively with others to improve existing processes is essential.
