Job Title: Banquet Server

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Banquet Server to join our team at Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience, and contributing to the success of our events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding service to banquet functions and events, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Set up banquet facilities, including tables, chairs, and linens, to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
  • Manage cash and credit transactions, balancing floats and maintaining accurate records.
  • Respond to guest requests and concerns, providing solutions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with the events team to ensure seamless execution of events, including setup, service, and breakdown.

Requirements:

  • Previous food service and cash handling experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multitasking, and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly during a shift, and stand for long periods.
  • French language skills (verbal and written) are an asset.
