Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Banquet Server to join our team at Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining the presentation of our Entertainment Centre, Concession, and Banquet facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service breakfast, lunch, and dinner to banquet functions and events
  • Prepare food and beverages and maintain presentation in Entertainment Centre, Concession, and Banquet facilities
  • Set up Banquet facilities for a variety of functions and events
  • Accept monies for items sold and balance float
  • Satisfy guest requests
  • Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Previous food service and cash handling experience an asset
  • Previous concession experience including back-stage catering, meeting set-ups, and coffee break service is an asset
  • Pleasant and outgoing personality
  • Able to handle large volume in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly during a shift
  • French language skills (verbal and written) are an asset
