About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Culinary Team Member to join our team at Golden Minds Montessori Inc. as a Kitchen Operations Specialist. This is a permanent position that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Special Events: Plan and execute special events, such as buffets and banquets, to ensure seamless execution and exceptional customer experience.
  • Determine Food Portion Sizes and Costs: Analyze and determine the optimal food portion sizes and costs to maintain profitability and quality.
  • Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Source and procure high-quality food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
  • Prepare and Cook Complete Meals: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the dietary needs of our customers.
  • Prepare Special Meals for Patients: Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitians or chefs to ensure their nutritional needs are met.
  • Inspect Kitchens and Food Service Areas: Conduct regular inspections of kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Train Kitchen Staff: Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Order Supplies and Equipment: Source and procure necessary supplies and equipment to maintain a well-stocked inventory and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Supervise Kitchen Staff: Supervise and manage kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer experience.
  • Maintain Inventory and Records: Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient operations and minimize waste.
  • Clean Kitchen and Work Areas: Ensure the kitchen and work areas are clean and well-maintained to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Recruit and Hire Staff: Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for kitchen staff to ensure the right candidates are selected for the role.
  • Manage Kitchen Operations: Oversee and manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective execution of tasks and responsibilities.
