Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at B.C. Cafe Ltd. as a Team Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and Implement Operational Procedures
The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for establishing and implementing operational procedures to ensure that our food service department runs smoothly and efficiently. This will include developing and maintaining work schedules, training staff, and ensuring that all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
Supervise and Coordinate StaffThe Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our food service staff, including preparing and portioning food, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and ensuring that all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
Train and Develop StaffThe Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for training and developing our food service staff, including providing on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their jobs effectively.
Manage Inventory and SuppliesThe Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for managing our inventory and supplies, including ordering and receiving stock, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that all stock is stored and handled properly.
Ensure Quality ControlThe Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that our food and service meet the highest quality standards, including maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring that all food is prepared and served safely, and addressing any customer complaints or concerns.
Prepare Budget and Cost EstimatesThe Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for preparing budget and cost estimates, including forecasting sales, managing inventory, and controlling costs.
Address Customer ComplaintsThe Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for addressing customer complaints and concerns, including responding to customer feedback, resolving issues, and ensuring that all customers receive exceptional service.
Maintain Records and ReportsThe Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports, including sales data, inventory levels, and staff performance.
Requirements- Education
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role
Personal Suitability- Client Focus
The successful candidate will have a strong client focus, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
FlexibilityThe successful candidate will be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances, including working varied shifts and being available to work on short notice.
