Position Overview

The Automation Control Specialist utilizes analytical and troubleshooting expertise to develop comprehensive electrical control systems tailored for automated production lines within the food processing sector. The ideal candidate will oversee the overall architecture of the system, which includes control panels and field devices, while also being responsible for the creation and delivery of detailed schematics, alongside programming PLC and HMI systems in alignment with industry standards and client specifications.

Core Responsibilities

Develop schematics, program PLC and HMI, and conduct testing on new control panels Revise schematics and PLC/HMI programs for existing control panels Diagnose and resolve issues with PLC/HMI programs, electrical installations, and wiring Address operational, sanitation, and maintenance issues related to freezer applications Execute field modification instructions Stay current with administrative duties, including maintaining final schematics and programs, as well as timely customer service logs Communicate effectively with clients to ensure issues are resolved and follow-ups are conducted, leading to enhanced customer satisfaction. Provide training for client operators Promptly escalate and report freezer-related issues and client complaints Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and all relevant compliance requirements Manage incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries Monitor all freezers within the monitoring system, offering timely technical support, solutions, and alternatives Participate in 24/7 shift schedules as required

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related automation field Proficient in Rockwell RSLogix/Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View, and PowerFlex Drives Skilled in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical Experienced in collaborating with both internal teams and external clients as part of a solution-oriented service approach Background in diagnosing and repairing industrial machinery Proficient in troubleshooting and addressing customer concerns Strong command of both written and spoken English, with a preference for proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) Willingness to travel up to 30% Capable of working on a rotating shift schedule
