The Director of Entrepreneurial Support at Velocity plays a pivotal role in steering the founder program designed to assist entrepreneurs in the formative stages of their business endeavors. This position entails overseeing a dedicated team that provides mentorship, essential resources, and engaging events to empower founders in their entrepreneurial journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement program strategies that align with the broader organizational objectives.
  • Craft and execute initiatives that cater to entrepreneurs at different phases of their development.
  • Oversee the selection, onboarding, assessment, and successful transition of founders through the program.
  • Recruit and engage mentors, advisors, and industry experts to offer valuable insights.
  • Forge partnerships to augment available resources and expand networking opportunities.
  • Manage facilities and operational resources to foster a conducive environment for growth.
  • Assess the effectiveness of the program and drive continuous enhancements to offerings.
  • Build a vibrant community through networking and collaborative opportunities.
  • Provide tailored support and coaching to participants to maximize their potential.
  • Act as a representative of the organization at various events and industry gatherings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a startup founder.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the entrepreneurship landscape and startup progression.
  • Strong skills in project management and execution.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A genuine passion for innovation and contributing positively to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with best practices in entrepreneurship education and support.
