School Administrative Leadership Pool
The Near North District School Board represents a vibrant and diverse public educational institution in North Eastern Ontario. Our district is comprised of a dedicated workforce committed to delivering quality education that promotes lifelong learning through innovative and impactful educational experiences. With a student population exceeding 9,600, we cater to approximately 6,600 elementary students and nearly 3,000 secondary students. We take pride in offering alternative and continuing education programs throughout the region, celebrating the rich cultural diversity of our student body.
Our organization employs around 2,300 permanent and occasional staff members across 35 elementary, secondary, and alternative learning institutions. Geographically, we are one of the largest public school boards in Ontario, spanning over 17,000 square kilometers. Our service area includes much of the Nipissing and Parry Sound Districts, along with a portion of the Muskoka District, bordered by scenic natural landscapes.
The Near North District School Board is currently seeking applications for positions within our School Administrative Leadership Pool. This pool will be utilized for anticipated future vacancies in Principal and Vice-Principal roles at both the elementary and secondary levels. Candidates selected from this pool will be considered for administrative positions that arise over the next three years. We are particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate proven success in alignment with the Ontario Leadership Framework and the associated Personal Leadership Resources.
