About the Near North District School Board
The Near North District School Board is a diverse and public educational organization in North Eastern Ontario. Our school district is comprised of dedicated individuals committed to providing quality education that fosters life-long learning for all, through creative and meaningful learning experiences.
We serve over 9,600 students across our schools, with approximately 6,600 students enrolled in our elementary schools and nearly 3,000 secondary students. We also provide students with alternative and continuing education program experiences throughout the region.
The Near North District School Board is proud to host and celebrate students from diverse cultures. We employ approximately 2,300 permanent and occasional staff members, working across 35 elementary, secondary, and alternative learning schools.
Geographically, the Near North District School Board is one of the largest public school boards in Ontario, covering over 17,000 square kilometers. The region provides a beautiful area to live and thrive, boasting stunning sunsets, scenic parks, and various recreation opportunities.
About the School Administrative Leadership Pool
The Near North District School Board is inviting applications for positions in a School Administrative Leadership Pool, which will be considered in anticipated future openings in Principal and Vice-Principal assignments at the elementary and secondary level.
Leaders in this pool will be considered for school administrative positions that become available over the next three years. We encourage applicants to submit their digital portfolio and other supporting portfolio documents to the Portfolio tab-Supporting Documents-Additional Documents.
