About the Near North District School Board

The Near North District School Board is a diverse and inclusive educational organization serving the North Eastern Ontario region. Our district comprises dedicated individuals committed to providing quality education that fosters life-long learning for all students.

We have a strong presence in the community, with over 9,600 students attending our schools. Our district is comprised of 36 elementary, secondary, and alternative learning schools, employing approximately 2,300 permanent and occasional staff members.

Our region offers a unique blend of natural beauty, with stunning sunsets, scenic parks, and various recreation opportunities. We are proud to provide students with alternative and continuing education program experiences throughout the region.

Leadership Opportunities

The Near North District School Board is seeking experienced leaders to join our School Administrative Leadership Pool. This pool will be considered for future openings in Supervisory Officer positions over the next 3 years.

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate evidence of success in the components of the Ontario Leadership Framework and the accompanying Personal Leadership Resources. Successful candidates will be considered for school administrative positions that become available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage school administrative teams
  • Develop and implement educational programs
  • Provide guidance and support to students and staff
  • Collaborate with other district leaders to achieve educational goals
