Position Overview

The Culinary Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing food preparation and service operations. This position requires strong leadership skills to manage a team effectively and ensure high standards of quality and safety in food service.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement work schedules to optimize productivity.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff engaged in food preparation and portioning.
  • Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards for food and service.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports as required.
  • Compile food order summaries for the chef's review.
  • Oversee the assembly of trays to ensure proper presentation.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Direct supervision of 3-4 staff members, including food service counter attendants and kitchen helpers.
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced and dynamic work setting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Extended periods of standing are required.
  • Physically demanding tasks that require attention to detail.

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
  • This is a permanent position with a work schedule of 35 hours per week.
