About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Cook to join our team at Restaurant L'Ambroisie. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing special events, planning menus, and preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Coordination: Co-ordinate special events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties.
  • Menu Planning: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for events, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Culinary Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality presentation and flavor.
  • Food Safety: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, and organize buffets and banquets to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate required.
  • Apprenticeship Training: Level one apprenticeship training preferred.
Work Environment

As a Banquet Cook at Restaurant L'Ambroisie, you will work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding role.
