Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Policy Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of public policy, stakeholder relations, research, and analysis. They will be effective in a public policy environment and innovative in delivering policy projects in collaboration with our diverse membership.

The Policy Manager will be responsible for several core functions, including:

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the development and execution of W2RO's government relations strategy
  • Managing relationships with key provincial and federal government stakeholders
  • Liaising with stakeholders to identify strategic priorities and developing strategies to address issues and enhance relationships with government representatives
  • Supporting and coordinating W2RO's internal volunteer technical committees and action plans
  • Developing a cohesive strategy for research and data collection and analysis to advance evidence-based sector positions
  • Preparing briefs, position papers, and messaging through member bulletins, social media, and W2RO's website

This is a full-time position offering a competitive combination of salary and benefits. The Association offers some flexibility in working environment with interesting and challenging opportunities in the policy development and stakeholder relations field.

The office location is in Etobicoke, Ontario, and the position requires some flexibility in working hours and some travel inside Ontario.
