**Job Details**:
**Position Title**: Manager, Corporate Governance

**Status**: Full-Time Administration

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week

**Faculty/Department**: Office of the President and Board of Governors

**Campus/Location**: North Campus

**Salary**: Adm 05 - $84,500 - $106,001

**What you will do**:
The Manager, Corporate Governance is an integral role that to and works closely with the Director, Office of the President and Board of Governors to support the team through shared Executive and Board related activities. The Manager, Corporate Governance provides Executive & Board support for the Office of the President and Board of Governors by acquiring, tracking and updating all Board information required for internal and external purposes, including banking and regulatory submissions. The successful incumbent will support Board committees by: preparing Board packages, agendas and supporting reference material; attending meetings; preparing and distributing meeting minutes, and tabulating and following up on action items; assist with the annual Board recruitment and board evaluation process. Moreover, this role ensures the Board is informed about College activities and items of interest.

Additional Primary Responsibilities include:

- Support the President and CEO and Board of Governors in the development and execution of governance policies and procedures.
- Serve as a liaison between the Board and organizational departments, providing timely updates and facilitating effective communication.
- Develop, maintain and update orientation and governance manuals.
- Develop and interpret Rules of Procedure.
- Develop and modify, as necessary, various forms and templates to ensure the efficiency of the position.
- Provide administrative support in various areas, including budget development and management.
- Arrange training workshops, conference participation, professional capacity development and related travel.
- Manage process for the election of internal members of the Board.
- Manage orientation for newly elected Board members.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the direct manager.

**What you bring to the role**:
**Education**:

- Recognized degree in administration or community college certificate in a relevant discipline required such as corporate governance, business administration, economics and public policy (equivalent education/experience will be considered)

**Experience**:

- Five (5) years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant or Executive Assistant required.
- Three (3) years’ related experience as a recording secretary in a governance-related position, preferably in the public sector, or an equivalent combination of practice-related and governance experience in post-secondary sector.
- Demonstrated experience working with legal and compliance matters and developing policies and procedures.
- An understanding of the college sector and the community it serves.

- Demonstrated excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated excellent computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office.

- Demonstrated ability to perform well both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated proven administrative, analytical, and planning skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer and quality service orientation.
