We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at Sunwing. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

What You'll Do:

  • Review, enter, and post invoices in Great Plains and process payments (EFT, cheque, wire)
  • Communicate with vendors/customers and reconcile discrepancies
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Reconcile returned funds and communicate with operations team to correct customer information
  • Record all cheques, EFTs, credit card payments, and wire transfers. Prepare for mailing and maintain filing of accounts payable
  • Communicate with operations team daily on status of payments and make any adjustments as requested
  • Verify transactions to comply with financial policies and procedures
  • Manage and distribute incoming emails
  • Other duties and projects as requested

What You'll Need:

  • 1-2 years' experience in accounts payable
  • Advanced in MS Office products – Excel
  • Effective team player
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and consistently accurate
  • Able to work independently, effectively, and constructively under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Achievement oriented; must be able to juggle multiple tasks, tight deadlines, and changing priorities
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment
