Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Assistant Certified Float to join our team at Watson Clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and adhering to AORN guidelines.
  • Prepare the surgical field, including gathering supplies, positioning patients, and draping for maximum exposure.
  • Retract tissues as directed by the physician, maintaining adequate exposure while ensuring patient safety.
  • Closure of incisions, identifying the correct suturing method and demonstrating competency in various techniques.
  • Perform other surgical duties as assigned, including assisting with intraoperative positions, injection of local anesthesia, and insertion of trocars.
  • Assist with medical office duties, including summoning and preparing patients for office visits, administering medication, and documenting information in patient records.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of OR technology or RN.
  • Two years experience in a surgical environment.
  • CST certification.
  • CPR certification within three months of employment.
  • Credentialing with LRH within six months of employment.
