The new Playdium encompasses 30,000 square feet of engaging games and dining experiences for teenagers, children, and families to explore, connect, and enjoy. Featuring state-of-the-art Virtual Reality, video games, and redemption activities, along with various recreational options such as rope courses and bowling, Playdium promises an unmatched amusement and gaming adventure. Perfect for group gatherings, celebrations, or casual outings, Playdium offers a variety of dining choices at both a family restaurant and fast-casual venues to suit all occasions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Groups & Events seamlessly within the venue to ensure exceptional guest service.
  • Uphold Playdium values, policies, and procedures effectively.
  • Enhance and promote the Playdium brand.
  • Exemplify the Company culture.
  • Oversee the efficient operation of games, coat check, and retail services at Playdium.
  • Ensure guests receive a warm welcome and address any inquiries or issues promptly and courteously.
  • Supervise appropriate attire and cleanliness in all Front of House areas.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls promptly and professionally.
  • Deliver a high level of professionalism and hospitality during all guest interactions.
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and effectively using the Playdium L.A.S.T. model.
  • Aim to meet sales targets while adhering to budgets in daily operations.
  • Consistently maintain Playdium and legislative cleanliness and safety standards, including regular monitoring of guest-facing areas.
  • Complete checklists as per internal and external (regulatory bodies) requirements on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to team members.
  • Conduct employee training and development for assigned areas.
  • Provide practical training for new employees and offer coaching and feedback.
  • Ensure gaming initiatives align with financial objectives while managing costs.
  • Maintain accurate payroll and attendance records in accordance with Company and legislative requirements.
  • Facilitate effective communication within and outside Playdium for seamless operations.
  • Ensure all stations are fully equipped at the beginning and end of shifts to meet Playdium standards.
  • Continuously implement company programs and service standards, providing feedback for improvement.
  • Maintain records, Company funds, and property accurately and efficiently per Company policies.
  • Address any variances promptly.
  • Proactively respond to business changes while maintaining excellent guest service.
  • Comply with provincial Health, Food Safety, and Liquor service regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience in food service, retail, and/or amusement sectors.
  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to perform under pressure while adhering to relevant regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, customer service, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in customer service and people management.
  • Training experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with point of sale systems is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and direct a team.
  • Thorough understanding of restaurant industry principles, methods, and practices.
  • Capability to supervise employees, organize work assignments, and prioritize effectively.
  • Highly adaptable with excellent interpersonal skills for diverse working environments.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Interact with customers, employees, and management.
  • Prolonged standing periods.
  • Flexible shift schedules.
  • Extended work hours as needed.
  • Manual dexterity required for computer and point-of-sale system use.
  • May need to lift or move items up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to high temperatures from grill or oven.
  • Work in environments with cold temperatures.
  • Travel may be necessary.
  • Ability to conduct presentations.
