Position Overview:

As a vital member of our pharmacy team, you will play a key role in enhancing the health and wellness of our community. This position is designed for individuals who are dedicated to providing exceptional pharmaceutical care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare, dispense, and manage medications for patients in a timely manner.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter products to meet patient demands.
  • Engage with patients to provide counseling on new and existing medications, fostering a supportive and informative environment.
  • Promote health awareness through community outreach initiatives, including public health events and educational clinics.
  • Address and resolve patient inquiries and physician requests promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor and manage costs effectively within the pharmacy department.
  • Provide ongoing training and mentorship to pharmacy staff, including technicians and interns.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a valid Class A Pharmacist license are essential.
  • Exceptional customer service skills coupled with a strong sense of professionalism.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in performance management.
  • Proven track record in utilizing community-based marketing strategies to enhance business growth.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse groups.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities, with experience in developing and implementing action plans.
  • Proficiency in personal computing and familiarity with pharmacy management systems such as Healthwatch and/or KROLL is an asset.
