About the Role

Cedarbrae Pharmacy is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of prescription information and providing support to our pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prescription Accuracy: Verify and ensure the accuracy of prescription information, including medication names, dosages, and instructions.
  • Pharmacist Support: Assist pharmacists with various tasks, such as preparing medications, answering patient questions, and maintaining patient records.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventories of medications and prescription records, ensuring that our pharmacy is well-stocked and compliant with regulations.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, responding to their questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, such as billing third-party insurers, maintaining patient records, and performing data entry.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a pharmacy or related setting
  • Work Setting: Pharmacy or drugstore environment
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, organized, and a team player
