Cari is seeking a Lead Project Manager for our Linear Infrastructure division to oversee the design of significant and intricate Water and Wastewater projects while empowering a diverse team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage projects and project teams through all stages of project planning, design, construction, and commissioning of Major Linear Water and Wastewater initiatives.
- Prepare and/or oversee engineering studies, environmental assessments, reports, calculations, plans, and contract documents for water and wastewater-related projects.
- Independently produce cost estimates and construction specifications.
- Engage directly with Clients without the need for assistance or supervision.
- Lead and/or support the pursuit of new projects involving requests for proposals with clients, including technical writing and proposal development.
- Establish relationships with existing and potential clients to expand the local water and wastewater practice.
- Assist in the development and execution of strategic planning for the Linear Water/Wastewater Group.
- Manage project resources, schedules, budgets, quality control, and project risk assessments to meet client expectations.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, project stakeholders, and contractors.
- Guide and mentor intermediate and junior staff on the fundamentals of detailed design of linear projects and general project management skills.
- Work on projects in various locations without the need for relocation.
- Ability to decompose projects into tasks and sequences to ensure timely delivery within established scope, schedule, and budget.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Professional Engineer registered with the appropriate regulatory body (or eligible for transfer of registration).
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in Linear Water/Wastewater projects.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects valued at 2.5 million and above.
- Experience with tunneling and/or rehabilitation works is considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficient in using and coordinating virtual meeting software, leading virtual meetings and workshops.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
