Electrical Maintenance Supervisor Opportunity

Meridia Recruitment Solutions is supporting a leading global pipe manufacturer and services business in their search for an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor.

As an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, you will work with a diverse team in a dynamic environment with opportunities for career-related learning and growth on a day shift (8 am - 5 pm). The role is based in a unionized environment, and support with relocation expenses can be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mitigate opportunities for failures across production processes by ensuring issues are diagnosed and corrected to ensure equipment and overall line availability and reliability are maximized.
  • Perform general inspections on equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support Senior Supervisors with preventive maintenance tasks and failure analyses to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures, report incidents, and share observations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage and update the maintenance information system and technical documentation to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Participate in maintenance initiatives to reduce energy consumption and improve overall efficiency.
  • Analyze, interpret, and recommend courses of action for complex maintenance topics to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Lead team members during their assigned shifts, coordinate schedules, assign responsibilities, and ensure safe working conditions.
  • Motivate, coach, and effectively communicate with your team and business stakeholders to achieve maintenance goals.

Requirements:

  • Educational background in Electrical Engineering or related field and 5+ years of progressive experience in electrical maintenance.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting with a focus on electrical maintenance.
  • Experience maintaining heavy industrial manufacturing equipment, including AC and DC Motor drives, VFD systems, hydraulic systems, and sensor and transducer devices.
  • Experience with electrical/electronic equipment inspection techniques and predictive maintenance.
  • Ability to perform failure analysis and provide solution-based ideas to improve equipment performance.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as per the requirement of the mill.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Previous supervisory experience in a maintenance role.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset and high ability to problem solve.
