Electrical Construction Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to lead our electrical construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of electrical construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure project meets/exceeds financial objectives by overseeing and monitoring each stage of development.
- Coordinate daily/weekly meetings with area superintendents and project engineers to develop project means/methods, schedule contracting needs, and long lead delivery times.
- Manage electrical field operations and work sequence in conjunction with the Project Manager.
- Review project estimates and plans to determine estimated job cost, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
- Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections. Review, approve, and negotiate change orders.
- Establish work plans and staffing needs for each phase of the project, work closely with Project Manager and HR team to manage relationship with staff and craft employees.
- Form and lead an effective project management team, define, and delegate management responsibilities and set goals.
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
- Be an effective leader and communicate with department leads and other project personnel regarding work scopes.
- Ensure project superintendents understand and execute work as required by client/project specifications.
- Ensure safety, quality, and production is always maintained.
- Responsible for project closeout: securing loose ends by finishing paperwork, obtaining retainages, supporting supervisors, and expediting claims.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is required.
- At least 10 years of overall work experience within the construction industry.
- At least 6 years of work experience managing electrical aspects of commercial construction projects with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost control, project owner specifications, engineering drawings, and other project documents/reports.
- The ability to work successfully both independently and as a team to meet project goals and deadline.
- Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done the first time.
- Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
