Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the activities of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees.
  • Be accountable for the operational processes within your sector by achieving and monitoring production targets.
  • Manage the budget for your group while ensuring product quality.
  • Plan daily operations for your sector and ensure follow-up.
  • Report and analyze various indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.
  • Efficiently and promptly resolve issues as they arise.
  • Maintain communication with other departments regarding any sector-related matters.
  • Promote continuous improvement through operational excellence concepts and effective problem-solving.
  • Ensure employee training, evaluate performance, and track progress.
  • Foster a work environment that encourages teamwork and open communication.
  • Exhibit leadership while upholding the vision and values of Bombardier.
  • Mentor your team to cultivate their talents within the organization.
How to Succeed in This Role:
  • You possess a diploma in operations, production, engineering management, or a related field (aeronautics is an asset).
  • You have 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing setting.
  • You demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills to ensure objectives are met.
  • You exhibit managerial courage in personnel management.
  • You possess interpersonal skills essential for developing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, customers, management, and other departments.
  • You thrive in a dynamic and stimulating environment.
  • You are proficient in French (bilingualism is an asset).
  • You are flexible and willing to work different shifts if necessary.
