Lead Project Scheduler

Key Responsibilities:
- Front End Planning: Act as a pivotal member of the project team, responsible for orchestrating and advancing the Front-End Planning processes. This includes initiating and leading Risk Profiling, developing Project Breakdown Structures, and reviewing project scopes and Basis of Estimates. You will coordinate scoping and risk workshops, gather labor estimates from resource providers, and collaboratively create integrated, resource-loaded project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Project Monitoring & Control: Develop and maintain a precise conceptual phase schedule. Load the approved project plan into relevant project control systems and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct weekly schedule updates and analyses, and facilitate project metrics reporting and variance analysis.
- Change Management: Ensure adherence to approved change control processes. Prepare necessary documentation for change approvals and update project schedules promptly upon receiving approvals. Maintain the integrity of project baselines and document all changes thoroughly.
- Schedule Quality: Ensure the project schedule accurately reflects the current project plan, including field execution. Address discrepancies and maintain alignment, ensuring high-quality and accurate schedule updates.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with all stakeholders to ensure project plans are consistently updated. Collaborate with resource providers to obtain cost and schedule commitments and status updates.
- Closeout Phase: Facilitate the financial closeout process of projects, ensuring all project controls and source systems are finalized and reconciled.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Strong understanding of engineering and science relevant to project planning, scheduling, risk management, and control.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in business and computer applications for project information management.
- A four-year university degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Proficient in Primavera scheduling software (P6) with a solid understanding of project control principles.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant scheduling experience.
- Experience in project management within a Nuclear generating facility.
- Familiarity with engineering and construction management concepts.
- Experience with various computerized systems and databases, including financial and work management systems.
