Key Responsibilities:
- Front-End Planning: Act as a vital member of the project team, facilitating and coordinating the Front-End Planning processes. This includes initiating risk profiling, developing project breakdown structures, and reviewing project scopes and estimates. Collaborate with team members to create integrated project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project goals and constraints.
- Project Monitoring & Control: Maintain an accurate and updated conceptual phase schedule. Load the approved project plan into relevant control systems and perform regular schedule updates and analyses. Identify deviations from approved schedules and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Change Management: Ensure adherence to change control processes by preparing and obtaining approval for necessary documentation. Update project schedules promptly following any approved changes and maintain baseline integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Schedule Quality Assurance: Ensure the project schedule accurately reflects the current project plan, addressing any discrepancies and maintaining alignment. Monitor standard project reports for accuracy and ensure critical path and dependencies are clearly identified.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with all stakeholders to ensure project plans are accurately maintained. Collaborate with various departments to obtain cost and schedule commitments and status updates.
- Project Closeout: Facilitate the financial closeout process of projects, ensuring all controls and systems are finalized and reconciled.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering and science relevant to project planning and scheduling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in business and computer applications for project management.
- A four-year degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Proficient in Primavera scheduling software (P6) with a solid understanding of project control principles.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant scheduling experience is essential.
- Familiarity with project management within a Nuclear generating facility is preferred.
- Understanding of engineering and construction management concepts is advantageous.
- Experience with various computerized systems and databases, including financial and work management systems.
