Families First Home Support Specialist

The Families First Home Visitor role is designed to offer essential assistance to families participating in the Families First initiative.
This role requires the establishment of meaningful connections with families, along with the planning and assessment of services aimed at fostering secure attachments between parents and children. Collaboration with Public Health Nurses is a key component of this position.
Candidates should possess experience in working with families with young children. A bilingual proficiency in both French and English is mandatory, along with a high school diploma or GED. Proficiency in basic computer skills and a solid understanding of early childhood development are also required.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are crucial, as is the capacity to engage with diverse communities. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends may be necessary.
All qualified applicants will undergo Criminal Records, Child Abuse Registry, and Adult Abuse Registry Checks.
