Position Summary
The Families First Home Visitor (FFHV) plays a crucial role in delivering ongoing assistance to families enrolled in the Families First initiative. Responsibilities encompass building trusting relationships, designing and assessing services, and empowering parents to enhance their child's developmental journey. This role necessitates experience with families having young children aged 0-5 years. Proficiency in French is essential.
- Ability to communicate in French, including speaking, reading, and writing, at the required linguistic proficiency.
- Basic computer literacy is necessary.
- Understanding of early childhood development and growth is essential.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities are required.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Familiarity with Indigenous traditions is considered beneficial.
Educational Requirements
- A high school diploma is mandatory.
- Commitment to complete designated training within six months of hiring.
- Certification as a Family Support Worker is preferred.
Licensure and Registration
- A valid driver's license may be necessary.
Physical Demands
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts may be required.
- Must be physically capable of lifting and transporting equipment.
- Ability to participate in parent-child interactive activities is essential.
- Access to a vehicle may be necessary.
