Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia location. As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage kitchen staff and ensure they are following Denny's brand standards and internal policies and procedures.
- Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels to ensure profitability.
- Develop and implement menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to Denny's health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to achieve sales and profit goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a similar role.
- Proven track record of success in managing kitchen operations, controlling costs, and maintaining high-quality food preparation and presentation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
