Kitchen Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Hearthstone Inn Dartmouth. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of quality and service, and leading a team of kitchen staff to achieve our goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train and develop kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to help them improve their skills and performance.
- Estimate and manage food and supply costs, ensuring that we are operating within budget.
- Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes, working closely with our chef to ensure that they meet our high standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Work closely with our front-of-house team to ensure that our customers receive excellent service and that our restaurant runs smoothly.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
