Your Role as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) - Mechanical (M2):

In this pivotal position, reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor, the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME M2) will be responsible for executing maintenance tasks and will be authorized to sign off on maintenance releases for their work. Candidates must possess a valid Transport Canada AME license with appropriate ratings. The AME should demonstrate a thorough understanding of the AMO and its Quality Program, having received an ACA Authorization for signing maintenance releases on aeronautical products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing maintenance tasks, including certification in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Identifying and reporting any un-airworthy conditions encountered.
  • Utilizing certified and calibrated measuring and testing equipment.
  • Familiarizing oneself with L3 MAS Policies and Processes.
  • Conducting marshalling, fueling, and towing of aircraft.
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized work environment.
  • Taking ownership of work performed, as indicated by signature/stamp.
  • Carrying out repairs, modifications, and maintenance of aircraft in line with approved maintenance protocols.
  • Reporting any un-airworthy conditions discovered.
  • Understanding the Maintenance Procedures Manual (MPM) and related processes.
  • Participating in the Safety Management System Program Committee on Aircraft, if required.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of an AME M license with qualifications on heavy aircraft in the following areas: Engine/Airframe interface, Environmental Control, Electrical System, Hydraulic System, Fuel System, and Flight Control System.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must qualify for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada "Reliability" status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
