We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic leader to join our faculty as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Criminology, specializing in Critical Surveillance and Security Studies.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and publish refereed articles in top-tier journals
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in criminology, including methods and theory
- Supervise graduate students and mentor junior faculty members
- Participate in departmental and faculty-wide educational and administrative activities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair
- PhD in Criminology, Sociology, Political Science, Human Geography, Communications, or a related field with specialization in surveillance and security
- Excellent teaching and research skills, with a strong commitment to interdisciplinary approaches
- Ability to teach in French at the time of hiring
- Bilingualism is a requirement, with a strong commitment to promoting French language and culture
