About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Consultant to join our Financial Crimes Technology team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading complex technology projects to design strategic solutions involving multiple back-end systems aligned to our enterprise architecture roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements Gathering and Documentation - Collaborate with business and technology partners to gather complex technical/solution requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure project needs are met.
  • Solution Design and Development - Design and develop client-focused solutions that meet business requirements, preparing and validating solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, system workflows, and quality assurance.
  • Leadership and Mentoring - Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals, and maintaining a collaborative work environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience - A degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Application Development, IT, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in a Business Systems Consultant role leading projects and designing solutions.
  • Technical Skills - Proficiency in working with data, back-end systems, and a technical background, with strong business acumen to understand business needs. Experience in system development lifecycle utilizing agile approach and expertise in managing the product backlog.
  • Soft Skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with purpose, make sense of complex problems, and drive collective success.
