About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Consultant to join our team at the Government Services Integration Cluster's Enterprise Human Capital Solutions Practice Branch. As a key member of our team, you will provide leadership in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of cost-effective information technology solutions related to the Ontario Public Service's Human Resources (HR) systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with project teams to develop business systems and applications that meet business needs and priorities.
  • Analyze business needs in relation to Human Resources clients' programs and service delivery requirements.
  • Provide clients with business systems consulting expertise on the use of information technology, such as PeopleSoft, to meet business goals and objectives.
  • Recommend systems development solutions that meet clients' needs.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice in complex systems analysis and design.
  • Provide leadership in the coordination and development of production support procedures.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of business systems technology with emphasis on PeopleSoft.
  • Knowledge of the theory and principles of system design to lead the analysis and definition of clients' information technology requirements.
  • Ability to design, develop, test, and implement business solutions.
  • Ability to evaluate hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of new PeopleSoft development, analysis, and design techniques used throughout the system development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in IT project management.
  • Knowledge of IT plan, project planning methodology, and theory to support the IT business planning process.
