About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Consultant to join our team at the Government Services Integration Cluster's Enterprise Human Capital Solutions Practice Branch. As a key member of our team, you will provide leadership in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of cost-effective information technology solutions related to the Ontario Public Service's Human Resources (HR) systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work with project teams to develop business systems and applications that meet business needs and priorities.
  2. Analyze business needs in relation to Human Resources clients' programs and service delivery requirements.
  3. Provide clients with business systems consulting expertise on the use of information technology, such as PeopleSoft, to meet business goals and objectives.
  4. Recommend systems development solutions that meet clients' needs.
  5. Provide technical expertise and advice in complex systems analysis and design.
  6. Provide leadership in the coordination and development of production support procedures.
Requirements
  1. You have knowledge of the business systems technology with emphasis on PeopleSoft.
  2. You have knowledge of the theory and principles of system design to lead the analysis and definition of clients' information technology requirements.
  3. You are able to design, develop, test, and implement business solutions.
  4. You are able to evaluate hardware and software.
  5. You have knowledge of new PeopleSoft development, analysis, and design techniques used throughout the system development lifecycle.
Skills and Qualifications
  1. You have analytical skills to evaluate information technology options in the PeopleSoft enterprise resource planning (ERP) application for clients in the development of new functionality or system modifications.
  2. You have evaluative skills to provide clients with various recommendations and outline advantages and disadvantages of each.
  3. You have the ability to understand clients' business processes and recommend necessary systems development solutions that promote IT strategies.
