About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at M&T Glass. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation of glass products in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Fabrication: Measure, mark, and cut glass to precise specifications, and position and secure panes in frames.
  • Project Management: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements, and prepare tenders and quotations for clients.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise other workers, instruct apprentices, and ensure that all installation work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair glass cutting equipment, and ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working order.
  • Health and Safety: Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, and ensure that all safety protocols are followed at all times.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma required, but 1-2 years of experience in the glass industry is preferred.
  • Skills and Certifications: Working at heights training, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, and experience with glass cutting equipment and techniques.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work environment, requiring the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy glass products.
