We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at M&T Glass. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation of glass products in various settings.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Fabrication: Measure, mark, and cut glass to precise specifications, and position and secure panes in frames.
- Project Management: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements, and prepare tenders and quotations for clients.
- Team Leadership: Supervise other workers, instruct apprentices, and ensure that all installation projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair glass cutting equipment, and ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working order.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all installation projects are completed in a safe and healthy environment, and that all workers are aware of and follow safety protocols.
- Education and Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in glass installation and fabrication, and a strong understanding of glass cutting techniques and equipment.
- Certifications and Training: Working at heights training, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, and a strong understanding of glass cutting equipment and techniques.
- Physical Demands: Physically demanding work environment, requiring the ability to work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages.
