About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Consultant to join our team at CIBC. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of our systems and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases, designing and managing end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business.
  • Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback, support, and mentorship, and proactively identify any potential issues throughout all test phases.
  • Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project's timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the business, ensuring that all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to your project's timeline, budget, and goals.
  • Lead the Automation Team in the maintenance of existing packages, evaluation, design, and implementation of new automation technologies, frameworks, DevOps products, and techniques, and planning and forecasting of team capacity.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in an automation testing lead position and a proven track record of process improvement.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in automation tools and frameworks like Microfocus UFT/Selenium/Robot/Quantum, software development experience in Java, Python, VBScript, writing and executing SQL queries, as well as creating and executing test scripts.
  • Experience in API testing, Jenkins, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum methodologies, and prior experience in service virtualization (Parasoft Virtualize), performance testing, and/or development experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate detailed information in a meaningful way.
  • Experience working in a team environment, with the ability to inspire outcomes by sharing expertise and influencing others.
