The Role

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining the quality assurance framework for our data platform. Your expertise will ensure that our systems operate flawlessly, providing reliable data that supports our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define project scope, expected outcomes, and relevant business rules.
  • Develop comprehensive test cases for applications utilizing ETL components.
  • Identify critical ETL mapping scenarios and construct SQL queries to simulate them.
  • Automate ETL test cases to enhance efficiency.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Assess data source locations and formats, ensuring compliance with requirements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ETL Testing.
  • Proficient in creating test cases for ETL-based applications.
  • Experience in analyzing ETL mapping documentation.
  • Strong skills in writing advanced SQL queries.
  • Solid understanding of data flow between systems and their data models.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in automating features for improved regression coverage.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record in Agile environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming and scripting languages like Java and Python.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD practices.
  • Familiarity with PySpark.
  • Previous experience in the senior living or healthcare sector.

Compensation

Base salary: $75,000 - $150,000 CAD

The salary range provided is intended to comply with local regulations and reflects the potential base salary for this position. Actual salaries may vary based on experience and location. Compensation may also include additional forms of remuneration, such as bonuses.
