Position Overview

As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guest accommodations at Courtyard by Marriott Nanaimo. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will ensure that our guests have a pleasant and welcoming experience.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a housekeeping role is preferred, with a minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
  • Dust and sanitize furniture and fixtures to ensure a pristine environment.
  • Vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Make beds and change linens to maintain a fresh appearance.
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries to guest rooms.
  • Organize and stock the linen closet efficiently.
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Attend to special requests from guests for additional supplies.
  • Manage lost and found items with care and attention.
  • Assist guests with personal hygiene needs when required.
  • Launder clothing and household linens as necessary.
  • Perform light mending of clothing and linens.
  • Conduct window, wall, and ceiling cleaning tasks.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks under pressure. The role is physically demanding, involving repetitive tasks such as bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods.

Work Schedule
