Housekeeper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Harbour Light Motel. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, and clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Guest Services: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, handle and report lost and found items, and attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
  • Housekeeping Operations: Pick up debris and empty trash containers, launder clothing and household linens, and wash windows, walls and ceilings.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking environment.
  • Work Setting: Hotel, motel, resort.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, and attention to detail.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, dependability, organized, reliability, and team player.
