Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure company's quality standards are met and exceeded through engineering methods.
  • Work with customers and provide customer product support throughout entire process.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on the design and development of new products from concept to production.
  • Troubleshoot and solve issues that arise.
  • Assist in reviewing current products and research control options; Putting in place plans to add the appropriate controls to all fixtures.
  • Involved in the design/development/testing new and existing products.
  • Support quality testing by reviewing test plans.
  • Among other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Education in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3 - 5 years related electrical and quality engineering experience.
  • Strong lighting control experience.
  • Understanding/knowledge of lighting basics, solid-state lighting, LED arrays and PCB design.
  • Theory-of-operation knowledge and understanding of LED's, electrical power supply and drive circuitry, heat sink thermodynamics, optics, and general knowledge of Solid-State Lighting components.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
