**Position Summary**:
As a Final Inspector at Discovery Precision Machining, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all machined parts meet the highest quality standards. You will inspect aerospace components, particularly those used in aircraft and landing gear systems. Your deep understanding of AS9100, AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAIs), PFMEA, Discus FAI software, and proficiency in Net-Inspect will help us maintain our reputation for quality.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct final inspections on CNC machined parts for aircraft and landing gear, ensuring full compliance with specifications and industry standards.
- Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAIs) and document results using Discus FAI software.
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints to ensure proper inspection protocols.
- Utilize Net-Inspect and Discus FAI software to document and track inspection results.
- Participate in and contribute to PFMEA processes to continuously improve product quality and process reliability.
- Utilize precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs) to perform detailed inspections.
- Collaborate with the quality and production teams to maintain adherence to AS9100 standards.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for non-conformance issues.
- Ensure all inspection documentation is accurate and complete for customer delivery.

**Qualifications**:

- 3-5 years of quality inspection experience in a CNC machine shop, preferably working with aircraft or landing gear components.
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 FAI processes.
- Experience with Net-Inspect, Discus FAI software, and PFMEA.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments, including CMMs.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams and customers.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with CMM programming and operations.
- Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.
