POSITION SUMMARY

The Financial Planning Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing profit and loss projections, budgeting processes, and management reporting for FN Logistics. This position will provide essential support to the global operations team, which encompasses various departments including Distribution, Human Resources, Transportation, Procurement, Customer Service, and Loss Prevention.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting and Forecasting - Collaborate with business partners and key stakeholders to predict shipping costs by carrier and mode across different geographic regions. Work alongside the Vice President of Operations, Human Resources, and the Transportation division to forecast and manage the labor budget for FN Logistics. Leverage sales, unit, and order volumes from cross-functional teams to assist the operations team in developing unit capacity plans on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Create transportation and labor management dashboards along with other financial KPI scorecards for department leaders and senior management. Develop intricate financial models to assess new strategic initiatives, including ROI analyses on shipping, logistics, and negotiations with key third-party vendors. Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance productivity, process efficiency, technical tool utilization, and automation. Supervise the transition to new vendors and technology platforms in collaboration with Accounting and Operations teams. Mentor and train new Financial Analysts on systems, projects, policies, procedures, and best practices.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of four years of experience in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and management reporting, with a focus on identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, understanding root causes, and providing recommendations to enhance existing business processes. Strong presentation skills, capable of conveying complex data and issues in a clear and concise manner. Proficient in large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards). Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant experience in investment banking, consulting, or a related field. Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus. Work schedule: Monday to Friday during core business hours, onsite.
