Position Overview

In the role of a Senior Cost Consultant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing detailed Construction Cost Estimate reports for a variety of projects
  • Overseeing estimating and cost planning processes
  • Implementing Value Management strategies
  • Conducting post-contract cost management, including analysis of change orders
  • Engaging in Value Engineering and Life Cycle Costing initiatives
  • Collaborating with clients and consulting teams
  • Leading a team focused on cost management
  • Analyzing current construction market trends
  • Managing project finances and commissions

Core Responsibilities at Senior Consultant Level:

  • Driving Business Development efforts
  • Overseeing staff management
  • Facilitating recruitment processes
  • Enhancing knowledge management practices

Required Qualifications

A minimum of 7 years' experience in construction cost consultancy is essential.

  • A University Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Membership in relevant Professional Organizations
  • Possession of reliability clearance with governmental bodies
  • Familiarity with CostX software is advantageous
