We are currently seeking a Chemist/Chemical Engineer to become a vital part of our Business Development division. If you are enthusiastic about collaborating closely with clients while also engaging with our technical team to deliver state-of-the-art water treatment and lithium refining solutions, the Business Development Associate role may be an excellent fit for you. Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivating a comprehensive understanding of our innovative products, water chemistry, and saline water treatment principles, while receiving mentorship from a Senior Business Development Engineer and support from our technical experts.
  • Conducting interviews with clients to grasp their challenges and gather essential information for developing effective solutions.
  • Collaborating with our internal team to create creative and differentiated process options, presenting cost-effective solutions to clients.
  • Prioritizing customer service excellence through promptness, thoroughness, and high-quality deliverables.
  • Completing high-level process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, and economic evaluations.
  • Drafting proposals, formulating project plans (scope, schedule, cost), obtaining client feedback, and working collaboratively towards a solution.
  • Establishing meaningful long-term relationships grounded in technical trust.
  • Representing Saltworks at in-person client meetings, conferences, and exhibitions.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Relevant educational background in engineering or science with a solid foundation in chemistry.
  • Passion for assisting clients in resolving complex challenges through the application of science and technology in collaboration with experts.
  • Strong mathematical skills with a focus on accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to ask questions and practice active listening.
  • Proficient writing skills in English to succinctly convey key messages.
  • Capability to process substantial amounts of information and devise solutions that align with client objectives.
  • Experience in economic assessments and constructing process or cost models using Excel.
  • A sense of urgency in completing projects on schedule to meet client deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, maintaining high-quality work while quickly acquiring new skills.
  • Research capabilities to identify potential new client opportunities and market segments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to meet new individuals and cultivate new relationships.
  • Willingness to travel for client engagements and networking at industry events.
  • Proficiency in Korean is a plus but not mandatory.
