Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Voith Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace, ensuring compliance with legal guidelines and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace, ensuring compliance with legal guidelines and regulations.
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
- Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
- Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
- Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations.
- Set up and audit inspection programs to observe possible unsafe conditions.
- Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker's compensation claims.
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures.
- Report on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics.
- Manage and coach Site Safety Officers and Safety Supervisors.
- Audit, train, and support construction project startups on site with site safety officers.
- Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety, and Environment or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to communicate in French.
- Fluent in English mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet and interface with customers and work to resolve issues and accomplish tasks between internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Availability to travel 50% of the time, and sometimes for a week at a time.
