Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination of health and safety related initiatives, including the development and implementation of safety programs and policies.
  • Act as a point of contact for health and safety compliance and provide support to employees on health and safety matters.
  • Conduct regular office inspections to identify and mitigate potential health and safety hazards.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including updating training records and coordinating training initiatives.
  • Maintain inventory of personal protective equipment (PPE) supplies for all offices.
  • Facilitate new employee health and safety orientation and provide ongoing support to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a University Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Previous related experience is an asset.
  • Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with employees and stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
