About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at Bronte Construction. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, and provide recommendations for prevention and mitigation.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with management and the safety team to develop and implement safety initiatives and programs.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on health and safety performance and incidents.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in health and safety in the construction industry.
  • NCSO certification preferred.
  • JHSC certification, COR Auditor, COR Essentials, and Hazard Recognition an asset.
  • WAH and First Aid, Basics of Supervision, and a clean driver's abstract.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Software Suite, Site Doc, and other workplace technology.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the province of Ontario.
